CONTEXT
To raise awareness about the increase in carbon emission rates in the atmosphere, WWF makes use of human inventions to minimize this impact, ignoring the fact that we have, in nature itself, the most efficient way to filter CO2 and convert it into oxygen.
Solution
We developed a campaign with Ketchum UK, for WWF UK + Sky0, that raises awareness about the preservation of marine forests off the coast of the United Kingdom. Man doesn't have to invent anything to rescue carbon from the atmosphere, nature has already created the perfect product: seaweed.
The campaign plays with the creation of a cap that has a device in the flap to filter carbon gas — for the filming we produced real caps with a ventilation device and filter that, in a playful way, purify the air and contribute to our breathing — the campaign introduces the problem of global warming and, through a device that absorbs CO2 and converts it to Oxygen, presents the cap as a solution. In a comic pause, the narrator herself questions herself and affirms that nature has already invented the best device to combat climate change: marine forests.
Bolha creates assets for campaigns and storytelling initiatives, connecting technology and design to drive these stories forward. We produced 6 caps in total, pieces that were used both to compose the campaign videos, also produced by us, as well as in actions with the public and influencers.
