Google Station

CONTEXT

In this action planned by Wunderman Thompson, the goal was to create an activation where participants, to interact, must be connected to Google's Wi-Fi network. The action should reward participants and encourage the use and membership of Google's new Wi-Fi network that was installed at train stations in São Paulo.

Solution

The Bubble hacked 3 crane machines (better known as Catch an animal) that started to be controlled by cell phone. To play, the user only needed to be connected to the Google network and wait their turn to play in a physical and/or virtual queue.

Participants don't need to register, just connect to Google's Wi-Fi and play. The machine was adapted to make it easier for most people to win the gift of the action: a cell phone ring exclusive to Google.

The activation took place at the main train stations in São Paulo, always lining up and generating curiosity. And it was a real success, selling out giveaways quickly.
