CONTEXT
Enable the production of dozens of fun chocolate molds — weighing 1.5 kg! — for Hershey's to use in its new promotion: Open Your Mouth and Eat the Site
Solution
We adapted our lab to machine wooden blocks, via CNC router, which were transformed into chocolate molds by the vacuum forming process. We co-created with Aktuellmix the design of the pans, which were produced in record time, in a completely food-safe manner, and delivered to Hershey's to produce the chocolates distributed in the action.
Hershey's used these molds to produce a few tons of chocolates in unusual shapes for the winners of the “Open Your Mouth and Eat the Site” promotion. In addition to this great digital manufacturing process, we also developed the responsive promotion site, a complex mechanism with lucky numbers that were won by proof of the purchase of Hershey's chocolates. Users who had the lucky number could access the site and try their luck, by biting one of the site's winning highlights (which were drawn at random during breaks of the day), the user won that clicked piece.
